Last week, early Wednesday morning, my shop, "Pin Up Girl! Cosmetics", had a large brick thrown through the front left window. Nothing was stolen. Then yesterday about 10am, a client of mine told me her house on Boulevard SE had the front door kicked in. Some vintage jewelry was stolen, a Nikon D60 camera and an organic apple. Items were moved around and searched through. But that was all that was taken.

Since Solstice Cafe and now Painted Table have closed down, Boulevard is a more vulnerable. Ziba's Wine Bar, the restaurant to replace Solstice, will be opening, hopefully next week. If there is any way to have the police patrol Boulevard better, I believe that this would help with the crime. Our neighbor side streets are well-watched in my opinion but Boulevard becomes unsafe and shady after about 10-11pm. Cops drive through Boulevard so quickly to get through the area as oppose to driving a safe speeds to observe neighborhood activity.
